Where is ClearView?
We gather for worship, teaching, and communion Sundays at 10 a.m. on the campus of LSUS. Looking for directions? For those wishing to worship from home, you can join our livestream Sundays at 10 a.m. or view past services here.
What are ClearView’s worship gatherings like?
Our goal is for worship to be inspiring and authentic. You’ll hear songs you like and want to sing. You’ll hear teaching that connects with where you are – wherever that is – and points you to your next step. And you’ll see all kinds of people coming together, happy to be somewhere they don’t have to pretend to have it all together.
What does everyone wear?
We’re a casual bunch. Wear whatever you like.
Do you have something for kids during the gathering?
Yes, ClearView loves kids! Each week we offer an attended nursery for infants and toddlers and creative children’s worship spaces for preschool and elementary ages. If you prefer for your children to stay in the gathering with you, that’s totally fine. Find out more about our children’s ministry.
When should I arrive?
The gathering begins at 10:00 a.m. If possible, arrive 15 minutes early to allow for parking and time to grab a cup of coffee. If you have young children, start at the KidsView check-in area.
Where exactly do you meet on the LSUS campus?
We are in the University Center building. Our main gathering is in the theater and our kids’ spaces are in the classrooms. Have no fear about finding us though! Every Sunday we have signs at the main entries and directional signs for parking and walking up.
Do I need a tag to park on campus?
Nope.
What happens during a gathering, and how long do they last?
Our gatherings last about 75 minutes. They include teaching, singing, and communion.
What is communion?
Communion, also called Eucharist or the Lord’s Supper, is one of the practices that has been central to the church for 2,000 years. Participants are invited to take a piece of bread and a cup of juice as a way of remembering the body and blood of Jesus on the cross. While communion is a time of reflection, it is also a time of celebration. Because of Jesus’ victory over sin and death we’ve been reconciled to God and each other! Guests are always welcome to participate in communion.
Why do you emphasize singing?
Singing, as a form of worship, is another feature of the church that goes back 2,000 years. Today we may be more familiar with concerts or performances, but worship is, and always has been, about participating and not merely observing.
Why don’t you take an offering?
We just thought it would be weird. We’d hate for anyone to think that money is what we care about. Joy boxes are available for anyone who would like to (joyfully) contribute to our work and mission, or you may give online.
