Jesus
Jesus is the head of the church. He’s the one who died for his bride. He’s the leader of ClearView. The rest of us are just trying to keep up.
John Hawkins
Lead Minister
John’s role at ClearView includes teaching and vision-casting. Some of his favorite moments are those when someone is surprised by the love of God, the presence of Jesus, the clarity of the Bible, or the beauty of the church.
He is married to Jessica, a graphic designer, owner of BlueJay Creative, and professor at Centenary College. Their daughters, Emma and Kate, are pretty great. A graduate of Harding University (Communication, Ministry), John also earned a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry.
He loves tennis, travel, reading, and writing.
Jacob McCarty
Student Minister
Jacob leads our student ministry (6th – 12th grade). He plans and leads events through the year and ensures that our students feel welcome and included on Sundays. He is passionate about God’s people and eager to see Jesus at work in our students’ lives.
Jacob is married to Shelby. Shelby works for Volunteers of America. She is a huge fan of her Corgi, Weasley. Jacob and Shelby are both actively involved in non-profit work within our community.
He loves bears, the great outdoors, spaghetti, and pretty much any dog he comes into contact with.
Stefanie Petet
Children’s Minister
Stefanie leads our children’s ministry (birth-elementary). She creates energetic environments where children grow their faith and friendships. She also equips parents to be the #1 influence in their child’s life and plans events for the entire family to enjoy. She wants every child to discover their identity, worth, and belonging in Jesus.
Stefanie is married to Kevin, an underwriter for B1 Bank. They have two wonderful kids, Kathryn and Clarke. Stefanie is a graduate of Texas Christian University. She is a E-RYT, CRYT, YACEP children’s yoga specialist and has owned Little You Yoga since 2016.
She loves travel, good food, musicals, and quality friend time.
Aaron Harris
Worship Minister
Aaron guides the vision for our worship culture at ClearView. He plans our Sunday worship gatherings and mentors the worship team. He has a passion for bringing people to Jesus through music.
Aaron’s wife, Jordan, is a public relations professional, and they have two sons Henry and Miles. Aaron graduated from Louisiana State University in Shreveport with a degree in Business Administration.
He loves listening to and making music, reading extremely nerdy books, and watching his favorite soccer team, Tottenham Hotspur.
Our Shepherds
Throughout the Bible, one metaphor for caring leadership is that of shepherding. Our shepherds (or elders) are unpaid leaders from among the congregation who have accepted the responsibility of spiritual leadership.
