Forced to keep our distance, we’re spending more time inside our homes than ever before. Maybe spending so much time at home has signaled to you that there might be something going on in your inside. Stress and solitude tend to do that. Often we just manage appearances. But in a moment like this, we know that’s not enough. We remember Jesus’ promises that peace and joy can live in our hearts, and we know that’s the answer. So along with all the other quarantine habits we’re picking up – knitting, baking, and candlestick-making – how wonderful would it be if we became good insiders? There’s so much we cannot do right now, but we can do this – we can do the hard work of heart work. We can become insiders.
